  • Thanks for writing to me.  Yes, we love our Toby Joe.  He isn't really a Border Collie mix; he's really our baby --- just has a lot of fur.  We adopted him when he was 6 months old.  We'd lost our female cocker about 6 months before that and our male cocker was still grieving to the point that I thought we might lose him, too.  Toby Joe became his best buddy and gave him more time with us -- happy time.  We lost our cocker a year ago June and Toby Joe was sad.  He's since settled into the role of top dog and only dog.  Some day, we may consider getting him a buddy, but kind of have our hands full right now.  I LOVE your dog's name and the story behind it.  I always have given my dogs a middle name too:)  We've had Gloria Anne, an adorable black cocker, Emma Grace, a brown and white cocker, and our last cocker was Harold Angel, a copper colored cocker.  He truly was an angel and we still miss him so much.  He was a certified Canine Good Citizen and I used to visit nursing home and schools with him.  We gave companionship to the elderly and taught young children about how to handle themselves around dogs.  He LOVED treats and would do most anything to get one, so he knew a zillion tricks, including dancing on his hind legs like a ballerina.  It's interesting that your husband is a minister.  My daddy was a Methodist minister, so I'm a PK (preacher's kid) and I was extremely proud of him.  Hugs to you and Sampson!

  • Hi Melissa do you have a blog. My daughter has one and I am looking into having one that would combine my faith and stamping

  • HI Melissa:

I have been a pastors wife for over 25 years. We have served the same congregagation for that time. It is a small congregation too ( about 100 members). I am blessed to be involved in the ministry. I lead womens ministry and teach adult Bible class. I love Bible study and stampin up is my outlet. I find creating cards is therapeutic.

Looking forward to talking more with you.

    Blessings
