  • Thanks Millie, I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with me today. It always helps to know there are others out there with similar struggles.

  • Hi Millie,

Thanks for your comments. I have struggled to build my SU! business ever since moving from Southern California to Sandpoint, Idaho 5 years ago. I have only a handful of loyal customers who attend my monthly classes; I have not done a home workshop in two years. Nonetheless, I will invest in the new core colors, but slowly. I plan to purchase the basic essentials first - cardstock, ink pads and markers - then build on those colors in future months (chalks, crayons, DSP, etc.). I have been limiting my SU! spending for a few months so that hopefully I will be able to purchase everything I need in the new In Colors as well as soon as they become available.

I hear you about the expense of the color change, but I personally feel I don't have to "buy it all" at the get-go, just buy enough in the beginning to use in my classes so that my customers can see/use how wonderful they are. Bottom line - I am excited about the Color Renovation. I think it is a welcome change.
  • Hi Millie. Your Farmer's Market idea sounds great. would you mind posting them for us to see? Thanks!
  • Hi Millie, I would love to see your projects that you do at the farmers market if you would not mind sending them to me. Thanks!
  • Hi Millie! You asked a question about my card with the scallops...I answered it under the comments on the card, but in case you don't go back there, here's what I wrote:

I just cut them free hand. I made a light pencil mark on the back side to guide me. There were a few spots that looked kind of rough or jaggedy, so I just used my sanding block to even them out. Hope that helps!
