  • Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings! I'm sorry you are frustrated with the color renovation and I wish there was something I could say to help you feel better. It sounds like you have a really good attitude about it though, and I know that will help you in the long run. We really did design the new color palet to increase sales for our demos, and so Stampin' Up! would be more on-trend with the industry. I hope it will turn out to be a good thing for your business in the end.

As far as the Sizzix dies goes, I'm not in product development, so I don't know why there weren't very many new dies. I can understand why that would have been disappointing to you, as it sounds like you have done a great job selling the Big Shot(6! Way to go!). And as I have only been here for three years, I can't give my opinion as to whether or not I think the stamp sets look recycled. But, as we do tend to have lots of flowers, and hearts, and birds, and we do have a definite "style" I can see why things would start to feel repetative for you.

I don't think there is a lot I can say to help you. Other than to let you know I understand how you feel, appreciate your comments, and will pass them on to the appropriate departments. I can also assure you that we really do take our demonstrator comments seriously. I know it might not always feel that way, because we don't change things as quickly or in the way you might like. But we do always listen, and value your feedback.
Really, I haven't been much help at all, and I'm sorry. I hope venting has helped you feel a little bit better. I could tell you to wait for the Holiday Mini, and hope it suits your tastes better, but I know September feels like a long way off. So, I won't mention it (even if I do think you'll like it). I'll just send you stampin hugs from the home office, and thank you for sharing your opinion. I really am impressed with your attitude, and know you are doing your best to make lemonde out of lemons.
  • I hear you loud and clear. I did find more mileage out of the big shot when I started into doing Tin and cloth with it. I was shocked to see on the market dies for quilts and an over size big shot for almost three times the price. Thought with the quilt and fabric push with the big shot that SU has been doing that we see some more dies for quilting.
I also thought we get another big toy like a score pal, or zutter or bind it all, I like the new things for the big shot but and punches but we needed more to try and keep up with the market.

Oh, just as a heads up. Put rubber bands around your smooch sprays they are GLASS and roll and if they fall off the table they break big time. I have a soup can decorated with DSP that I urge everyone to set them back into.

I love the Hostess sets I want them ALL today. And you are right about repeats, just how many times can you sell people on a rose set remake. But like any hobby you have to keep getting new people because there is a limit to how much craft product one person will buy before they get burn out or crowed out of there house with stuff. lol not like us, 20 years and I still want 3000.00 dollars worth on my wish list.

I also like you have no upline any more, and was hoping the big announcement which turned out to be the color change was going to be a roll up so we would have a upline to keep us encouraged and motivated. Or at least some orphan program so we could have a group again. Maybe we will get that for Christmas.........

This has been fun sharring, have to run finish supper.
  • Thanks. We have 2 mastiffs, one male (2 years old) and one female (4 years old) . My husband likes showing them but now that they have completed their championships we don't show as much. Thank goodness, leaves me more time to stamp.
